A winning meat and wine-focused formula doesn’t stop this Maximal Concepts restaurant from the occasional round of experimentation

Having served up succulent cuts for the better part of six years now, Blue continues to ply its trusted formula of an indulgent, no-holds-barred meat menu, an extensive wine list, and attentive service. Despite its well-defined niche, the restaurant still manages some experimentation in its menu, especially in its appetiser section which includes a sizeable seafood representation. Meat lovers will be spoiled with the entrées, which source beef from every corner of the world in pasture-raised, grass-fed and dry-aged cuts, garnished with a range of hard hitting sauces and sides. The wine list covers the whole spectrum from premium bottles to boutique producers, and the staff seemed knowledgeable on the best pairings with your steak. The interiors bring pizzazz to this already trendy stretch of Hollywood Road, evoking a New York-style warehouse with its dim lighting and plush seating, making it perfect for date nights.

Tatler Tip

Wine lovers looking for an exceptional deal should visit on Tuesdays to enjoy a generous 50 percent discount on any bottle under HK$1,000.
