Conrad Singapore Orchard’s all-day dining restaurant has launched its new quarterly menus for its lavish buffets. One of the themes, La Cucina Storica, focuses on timeless Tuscan and Papal State dishes, packed with bold, traditional flavours. Take the wagyu beef lasagne, for instance, where layers of al dente pasta hold a rich beef ragu with aged parmesan. The buffet also has an impressive selection of antipasti, as well as a whole section dedicated to various heirloom tomatoes, alongside a choice of burrata and mozzarella cheeses. You can grab a glass of wine from the extensive list of predominantly Italian vinos to go with the different live stations. These offer freshly made pasta cooked to order, crisp pizzas and a range of main courses. One of these, the grass-fed organic beef sirloin, is reminiscent of bistecca alla fiorentina, complete with a mustard glaze and a rich Chianti beef jus.
