Bar Cicheti offers a refined Italian dining experience with a cosy ambience that makes one feel right at home. Since opening its doors in 2017, Bar Cicheti has been many a gourmand’s go-to restaurant for rustic and well-executed dishes courtesy of chef-owner Lim Yew Aun, and an expertly curated wine list by managing partner and sommelier Ronald Kamiyama. Look out for the polpette di manzo, beef meatballs that offer rich and savoury flavour profiles which feel nostalgic and indulgent. The pastas are worth trying, too, particularly the smoked rigatoni cacio e pepe. What makes this dish standout is its housemade pasta, which is first smoked on the grill, giving it a subtle smoky taste, before it’s bathed in a decadent sauce made with parmigiano reggiano, pecorino romano, cracked Sarawak black peppercorns, and a squeeze of refreshing lemon juice.
