Bar Cham, located in a traditional hanok house in Seoul’s Seochon neighbourhood, offers an immersive cocktail experience that blends classic styles with Korean aesthetics. Owner-bartender Lim Byung-jin, whose accolades including winning Diageo World Class Korea and placing second in World’s Most Experimental Bartender, creates drinks that emphasise textures and sensations. Bar Cham’s menu is presented like a music album; the sixth edition, upcoming at the time of writing, celebrates Korea’s regions with cocktails highlighting local spirits and ingredients. The setting and menu combine to create a uniquely cosy and culturally rich experience. Having drinks served in traditional Korean ceramic receptacles is an added treat.
