A George Town haunt that pays homage to the flavours of Penang

 

Featuring a flavour profile distinctly unique to Penang, this speakeasy is hidden inside what looks like a pin shop with an ever-changing menu of speciality cocktails. With ingredients such as nutmeg, belacan, and Penang-made soy sauce, the team creatively explores flavours to keep things fun and interesting. Led by self-taught bartender Koh Yung Shen, who is also the organiser of Penang Cocktail Week. Don’t leave without trying the Kelapa Hotak, the first-ever cocktail on the menu since Backdoor Bodega’s debut in 2016.
