Aria

Aria’s perch on the 24th floor of California Tower in Lan Kwai Fong affords stunning views of the harbour and Central’s skyscrapers, which make a strong first impression alongside an interior of contemporary upholstery and chandeliers. The menu centres around the cuisine of the Piedmont region in the north of Italy, with highlights like tuna carpaccio, roasted cherry tomatoes with Apulian burrata and contemporary veal Milanese. Among the pastas, lobster tagliatelle with a bagna cauda fondue (garlic, anchovies and olive oil) is a must, while the fusilli pasta with quail ragu is gastronomic comfort on a plate. There’s sure to be a pairing among the 150-something wine list.

Tatler Tip

Oenophiles can ask about the restaurant’s blind tasting pairing challenge for a chance to win a bottle of wine.
