Founded in 2016 by Principal Architect Clement Koh, Mark 12 Architects has built a reputation for crafting contemporary landed residences defined by restraint, refinement and an unwavering attention to detail. Working from the belief that beauty emerges through simplicity, proportion and harmony, the boutique practice creates homes that respond thoughtfully to the rhythms of everyday life while remaining deeply attuned to their site, climate and landscape.

For Koh, architecture has always been about more than creating beautiful spaces. Drawn to environments that could move people emotionally, he pursued architecture as a means of enriching lives through thoughtful design. After graduating with a Master of Architecture from the National University of Singapore and becoming a Registered Architect in 2016, he gained experience across institutional, commercial and residential projects before establishing his own practice. What began as what he describes as “a leap of faith” has grown into a respected studio specialising in bespoke private homes, supported by clients who entrusted him with bringing their visions to life.

At the heart of Mark 12 Architects is a holistic approach that dissolves the boundaries between architecture, interiors, lighting and landscape. Rather than treating each discipline independently, the eight-member team develops every project as a unified composition, carefully orchestrating each element to create homes that feel cohesive, intuitive and enduring. Simplified geometric forms, a restrained material palette and the seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces have become hallmarks of the studio’s work, allowing the qualities of nature and place to shape the architecture.

Over the past decade, the practice has completed a distinguished portfolio of private residences, including Cornerstone, The Cadence and the award-winning Verandah House. Its projects have earned recognition through honours such as the Singapore Good Design Award and multiple accolades at the Singapore Interior Design Awards and the Design Excellence Awards, reflecting the studio’s commitment to craftsmanship, spatial quality and design excellence.

Today, Mark 12 Architects continues to embrace a comprehensive design process that spans architectural concept through to interior detailing. This meticulous, collaborative approach enables the practice to deliver homes that are not only elegantly resolved, but also deeply personal—spaces where architecture enhances daily living and fosters a lasting connection between people and place.
