Create Architecture

Founded in 2017 by co-founders, partners, and principal architects Tan Bing Hui and Xu Naiyan, Create Architecture consists of a petite team of 13, encompassing not only designers but also project managers, marketing professionals, and administrators. Their skills come together to fulfill complex architectural works with sensitivity and care, paying special attention to the proportions of space and composition as well as the relationships between materials.

“It has always been a dream for us to be able to shape and craft our surroundings and add value to our built environment,” the founders share. “To be able to conceptualise, construct, and realise our ideas into reality has been a childhood dream come true.”

After graduating from the National University of Singapore with a Master’s degree in architecture, both Tan and Xu found themselves beginning their professional journeys at Ong&Ong under the guidance of architect and chairman Ong Tze Boon. “We then moved on to Swan & Maclaren and DCA Architects, separately,” they add. In these roles, they got to work on some notable projects, including Raffles Hospital, Plus+ at Cecil Street, SkyVue, and CapitaSky.

“We have always felt this synergy when working together; we collaborate passionately and always share visions and ideas,” the founders continue. Inspired by this, they decided to launch Create Architecture. Their joint goal was—and continues to be—to shape innovative architecture and have a hand in building sustainable and delightful spaces that reflect their creativity and expertise.

Beyond designing innovative and captivating architecture and spaces, prioritising the client experience is essential to the team at Create Architecture. They share a belief that understanding the clients’ briefs, preferences, and visions ensures personalised, bespoke, and functional spaces that truly resonate with them. “Providing clear communication, attentive service, and collaborative feedback throughout the project process fosters trust and satisfaction,” they share. “Our goal is to make the journey enjoyable and transparent, allowing clients to feel involved and confident in every decision.”

In their eyes, delivering exceptional spaces is ultimately complemented by ensuring a positive, seamless experience that aligns with the clients’ aspirations, making the entire process rewarding and memorable.
