An appreciator of the finer things of life, Andreas Sugianto is a name in the scene, elevating architecture and interior design with his original style and acquired knowledge. Drawn to the design industry, the Indonesian native built a repertoire at Tarumanagara University, where he cut his teeth and came out as a top graduate with a degree in interior design. Brimming with passion, he was inspired to take his vision of fine craftsmanship and design to greater heights—the design entrepreneur took a risk leaving his home country to pursue this opportunity in Singapore. After two decades of cutting his teeth in the industry, he has made it as the director of his eponymous interior design studio which was founded in 2014.

“Design is like a poetic response to its surroundings, be it space, environment or people,” he says. “Design evolves through time within the boundary of one’s knowledge, and as in many aspects [of] one’s life, it is apparent that design needs to find its balance, despite its natural duty to be bold. It is where fine taste meets [the] honest expectation of space in a correct proportion and proper execution that is beyond average.”

In a mission to deliver beautiful results that clients will love, Andreas Sugianto has built a longstanding reputation with their intentional design process that succeeds in providing rich concepts and bespoke solutions for residential and commercial projects alike. Some of these more recent projects include Gramercy Park, Orchard Residences and Berth by The Cove at Sentosa.

That said, the designer remains steadfast with his ambitions in running Andreas Sugianto: “I want to be able to set my own direction in terms of design and business, and hopefully, one day, people will recognise my design through my work as Andre, not some designer from some big company.”
