Having won the covetable 5 Star Award for its fifth year in a row, Solaire's Sky Tower has proven that luxury truly is within reach in Manila

The magnificent Solaire Sky Tower has just received its fifth consecutive 5-Star Award from the prestigious Forbes Travel Guide. Although this comes as no surprise—considering Solaire's luxurious design and quality service—it is a cause for celebration, especially as the hospitality industry continues to find its footing amid these unprecedented times.

Thomas Arasi, Bloomberry Resorts Corporation and Solaire’s President and Chief Operating Officer, says: "We thank our guests for their unwavering trust in us, even with the uncertainties and challenges that the pandemic has posed upon the industry. With the support and dedication of our team members and partners, we were able to set new standards of safety through the acquisition of new technology and the implementation of elevated protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of our guests and team members. This Forbes Travel Guide 5 Star Award is the apex to our efforts as we move forward to the new way of travel".

The Amenities

Solaire's Sky Tower, the integrated resort's seventeen-storey bastion of elegance and sophistication, comes with 312 well-appointed rooms and suites. Each of these is furnished with deluxe amenities that decorate capacious spaces between 65 to 395 square metres. Checked-in guests are also free to use the luxurious fitness centre, spa, outdoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi, which is one of the best places to view the Manila Bay sunset. All guests, whether checked-in at the hotel or otherwise, are welcome at the salon.

Those who wish to celebrate intimate affairs, corporate meetings, or family gatherings are also invited to Solaire to hold their special days. Venues on-site are equipped with the latest audio and visual equipment to ensure a fun day or evening for all. The Tent is also available for guests who need more complicated set-ups.

The Gastronomy

Most people aren't surprised to realise that Solaire celebrates culture in many ways. Much like how their design is inspired by elements of the Western and South-Eastern parts of the world, Solaire's unique gastronomy also offers guests a chance to taste the world. The Red Lantern restaurant offers delightful food from many regions of China, from Yunnan to Hangzhou to Sichuan, and Chengdu. Meanwhile, Yakumi places Japanese authenticity at the front and centre of their menu, using ingredients that have been flown in directly from Tokyo's Toyosu market.

Finestra, Solaire's Italian restaurant, offers a vast roster of delightful wines and perfectly marbled steaks. Meanwhile, Waterside offers adventurous eaters the exotic tastes that come with Latin gastronomy. If you'd like more options, then look no further than at Fresh, where the world comes to you at your fingertips—literally—with endless stations of food that is inspired by various parts of the world.

The Shoppes

The Shoppes at Solaire is perhaps one of the most exciting parts of any guest's experience. From Kenzo to Louis Vuitton to Dior and Fendi, there is an endless list of luxury retail stores to choose from. Shop the latest designs and the trendiest pieces flown straight from the Maison themselves at Solaire.

The Service

Solaire's 5-Star Award wouldn't have come to fruition if not for the world-class service provided to all guests—be it those who are checked-in, those who want to dine-in, those who want to shop, have fun, or simply celebrate an occasion. As the Forbes Travel Guide rates not just the property’s facilities, but also the quality of service provided, it's obvious that Solaire doesn't take their service lightly. "Our team members have worked diligently to continue providing the genuine and excellent service we’ve come to be known for, no matter the circumstances. This award is a testament to our commitment and dedication to provide only exceptional experiences that are truly Solaire,” says David Batchelor, Solaire’s Senior Vice President for Resort Operations. From the brilliant culinary team who create the restaurants' delicious offerings to the kind staff members who dedicate their time to attend to all guest needs, Solaire’s distinct brand of hospitality is the finishing touch to a true 5-Star experience.
