Since the birth of Archie, Harry and Meghan have been known to be extremely protective of his privacy, so the Sussex baby is often hidden away from the press and public. To mark his first birthday on May 6, however, the royal couple released a video of the Duchess reading Archie one of his favourite books, Duck! Rabbit! by Amy Krouse Rosenthal.

In the sweet, almost three-minute video, Archie was seen squirming on Meghan’s lap and flipping the page to the storybook as his mother entertained him with the picture book. Harry, who was filming the video, could also be heard chuckling and acting out parts of the story from behind the camera.

The video was released by international charity organisation Save the Children as part of its Save with Stories campaign encouraging the public to support vulnerable families in the UK. Donations go towards providing early learning packs, supermarket vouchers, essential household items and virus protection to these communities.

As per the Cambridge tradition, Kensington Palace released new portraits of Charlotte in celebration of her fifth birthday on May 2. Taken by Kate, the photos featured the princess, who was all smiles as she helped to pack and deliver food packages for isolated pensioners in the local area.

In an interview with This Morning, Kate shared that the photos were “part of a collection” in her community photography project Hold Still, which strives to capture a collective portrait of UK during the coronavirus pandemic. In collaboration with the National Portrait Gallery, a digital exhibition will be launched in August featuring one hundred shortlisted portraits based on the themes ‘Helpers and Heroes’, ‘Your New Normal', and ‘Acts of Kindness’.

Enrolled in Thomas's School in Battersea, George has switched to “remote learning” since the Covid-19 pandemic struck in March. According to Kate, however, the six-year-old isn’t coping so well with homeschooling. In an interview with This Morning, Kate said, “It’s hard to explain to a five and a six, nearly seven-year-old, what’s going on. But the schools are being great at supporting them as well.”

She added that George, in particular, “gets very upset because he just wants to do all of Charlotte’s projects. Making spider sandwiches are far cooler than literacy work!”

It appears that Louis is having the best time. The young prince was pictured by Kate getting messy with paint for his second birthday on April 23. The photos showed a proud Louis with his hands covered in rainbow paint, as well as his handiwork—a rainbow handprint.

Kate later posted another gallery of Louis before and after he smeared the paint on his face, captioning it “Instagram vs Reality”. She told This Morning, “I should've taken a photograph of what I looked like after as well! Luckily, that wasn’t documented but I was pretty much... I looked like Louis at the end of those.”
