The MS Satoshi will be set up to foster a business-focused, crypto-friendly environment for entrepreneurs, remote workers, and startup businesses

Ocean Builders has announced its plans to convert a 30-year old cruise ship formerly known as the Regal Princess and the Pacific Dawn into a massive floating condo complex that will remain anchored off the shore of Panama City, Panama.

While Ocean Builders is widely known for its floating homes and “seapods” that are designed for homeowners who want to permanently live on the water, this large scale condo project will be one of a kind. The floating condo complex will be known as the MS Satoshi, renamed in honour of Japanese crypto-currency founder Satoshi Nakamoto.

“The MS Satoshi is a business-focused environment where you can relocate your existing business, set up a new global head office, or come and start a new business and be supported in an environment of like-minded entrepreneurs,” the company said in a statement on its website.

The innovative cruise ship will feature everything you’d expect from a condo building of its type and stature, including a 5,000sft theatre for live performances, talks, and educational workshops; conference rooms; a fully equipped fitness centre with coaches and classe; and other first-class amenities that will make it easy to work—and relax—at sea full time.

“Everyone from digital nomads to YouTube influencers, startup teams, and existing businesses are welcome with office space available to accommodate you and your team,” the company said, adding that the entire cruise ship will be crypto-friendly and accept bitcoin, US dollars, and all other forms of payment on board.

Registration is now open for anyone who wishes to move into the innovative condo complex. The auction for sales of each cabin and stateroom is set to begin on November 5, with the auction running until November 28 and move-in dates starting as soon as January 2021.
