It warms the heart to know that this 37-room boutique hotel in Roberston Quay pays tribute to the new makers, doers and inventors of Singapore.

Taking a cue from the building’s origins as a 19th century warehouse, local design firm Asylum was responsible for the unconventional look of The Warehouse Hotel’s industrial-inspired interiors and fittings, from specially-designed furniture and to unique décor choices like wheels, pulleys, and copper wall pieces.

Minimalist it is, but plain it certainly is not: The Library’s vibrant interiors were the handiwork of designer Tirawan Songsawat, a creative mixture of colour blocking, Oriental artwork and wonderfully uncluttered luxury.
