Tamar Park, Central, Hong Kong 

Stretching from Central to Admiralty, Tamar Park boasts grassy green patches, areas with wooden decking and panoramic city views that are pretty hard to beat. Just a stone's throw from Pacific Place, stock up on goodies from Great - which sells a great range of dog treats, including dog-friendly ice cream - and set up a picnic for you and your four-legged companion(s). There's also a dedicated pet-friendly garden.

Victoria Peak Garden, The Peak, Hong Kong

Formerly the site of a summer residence for the Governor of Hong Kong, this spacious dog-friendly park at the top of The Peak is now a beautifully manicured Victorian style garden with soft green grass, trees, elegant pagodas and spectacular views. If you want to make a workout of it, take your pup for a stroll around the Peak Circle Walk and then make the steep hike up Mount Austin Road from the Peak Tram terminal to get to Victoria Peak Garden.

Quarry Bay Promenade, Quarry Bay, Hong Kong

If aesthetics are important to you, Quarry Bay Promenade consists of beautifully landscaped gardens and a chic wooden-decked coastal walkway that stretches from Quarry Bay to Tai Koo Shing. The views are spectacular no matter which direction you look - from East to West you can see Central's iconic skyscrapers, and across the harbour you have panoramic views of Kowloon and New Territories. Those lazy evening dog walks just got so much better. 

West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade, West Kowloon

Just a few minutes stroll from Elements Mall and ICC, the West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade offers postcard-perfect views of the Hong Kong skyline. Marvel at it with a picnic on the grass, or a leisurely stroll along the paved waterfront with your pupper. 

Penfold Park, Sha Tin, New Territories

There's a reason so many dogs (and their owners) adore Penfold Park. Covering over 20 acres inside the tracks of Sha Tin Racecourse, this park is covered in green grass for as far as the eye can see and man-made lakes where dogs are free to jump in and paddle.

Kai Tak Runway Park, Kowloon City

What used to be Hong Kong's airport has been repurposed as a terminal for luxury cruise ships, as well as a beautiful dog-friendly waterfront park. There are shaded seating areas, and a 23,000 square metre lawn and viewing platform. 

Shek-O Back Beach

Otherwise known as Rocky Bay, Shek O Back Beach is a small, secluded beach away from the crowds of Shek-O's main beach. Of course, this means there are less shops and facilities, but it's worth the peace and quiet - not to mention there's plenty of space for dogs to run and splash around in the water. End the day with a drink at the legendary Ben's Back Beach Bar, where dogs are welcome, too. 

Sha Ha Beach

Sha Ha Beach in Sai Kung Town is a favourite amongst local and visiting dog owners. It's also close to the many pet-friendly alfresco restaurants in the area, which is perfect for a post-beach day refuel.

Long Ke

It's not the easiest beach to get to, but Long Ke Wan's soft sand and gentle waves in a secluded cove are worth it. There are two ways get there—either hike Stage Two of the Maclehose Trail, or take a cab to High Island Reservoir East Dam, where it's a 20-minute walk to the dog-friendly beach. Located next to the UNESCO Global Geopark, the views here are otherworldly. 

Power Station Beach, Lamma Island

Just a quick stroll from Yung Shue Wan Main Street, this beach is known for its clean waters and peaceful setting. Drinks, snacks, and umbrellas are easily available and, being one of the few dog-friendly beaches on Lamma Island, your pup is sure to make some new friends.
