Turtle Sanctuary

Visit the turtle sanctuary and participate in releasing baby turtles into the sea. Every year between May and October, female Olive Ridley turtles—an endangered species—come ashore at night to lay their eggs.

The Oberoi, Bali safeguards the turtle eggs from predators, relocating the nests to a patch of sand within the hotel premises until they hatch. Witnessing the legacy of turtle conservation on the shores of  Seminyak beach is truly an unforgettable experience.

Full Moon Celebration

Purnama, or full moon, is a special day in Balinese culture. On this day, you can dress in traditional sarongs and join the full moon ceremony with fellow worshippers at the Hindu temple on hotel grounds. During the ceremony, you will receive a traditional Sanskrit blessing for health and prosperity from a Pemangku (Hindu priest), accompanied by flower offerings.
