With a line-up of yacht brands such as Sanlorenzo, Bluegame, Fairline, Beneteau, Lagoon and Aquila, Simpson Marine represents a range of leading luxury vessels, each catered to satisfy the needs of discerning sailors in Asia. Most recently, the company celebrated its 20th anniversary and had set up its Southeast Asia (SEA) Headquarters at Quayside Isle, on the grounds of One15 Marina Club. The newly established headquarters also hosts the SEA regional office for Sanlorenzo Asia, with its space specially curated by acclaimed Italian architect Piero Lissoni, best known for his contemporary furniture design.

To mark its anniversary as well, it expanded its dealership of British flagship motoryacht brand Fairline Yachts to bring the innovative vessels to SEA for sailing enthusiasts to enjoy.

Here are five vessels to look out for as you decide on your next sea-bound toy:

1. F//Line 33 by Fairline Yachts

The first of the new series of F//Line dayboats by British yacht manufacturer Fairline, the F//Line 33 is a seamless blend of quality performance and sleek Italian design, creatively conceived by notable Italian yacht designer Alberto Mancini. Standing at the helm station of the F//Line 33, guests would immediately notice its open design quality, including a vast deck space despite its compact size at a length of 10m and beam of 3.5m. For captains, the cockpit provides ample space for manoeuvre, while the reverse sheer transom folds down to create an on-water beach club—the perfect platform to plunge into the deep blue. Should you decide to spend the night on board, the vessel's open-plan saloon and double cabin makes for a comfortable stay on the water, furnished with contemporary features and polished woodwork.

But besides its spacious design, the F//Line 33 is equipped with a powerful petrol or diesel stern drive engine that complements its sporty profile and renders it a fast vessel on the water. Its twin engines, depending on the preferences of various owners, are powered by mainstay brands such as Volvo Penta and Mercruiser, and comes in increasing speed options of 440hp (32 knots), 480hp (48 knots) and 860hp (48 knots).

2. Squadron 50 by Fairline Yachts

Weekend family outings will never be the same again with the Squadron 50, a popular model that provides families with extensive spaces to choose from for social activities as they embark on adventures around the city-state. Apart from relaxing on the spacious flybridge, guests can choose to grab a tipple or two at the wet bar, before heading to the dining area where a converted sunbed will be ready for them to soak up the rays. If that spot is taken, sun seekers can also retreat to the sunpads on the forward main deck with the added perk of feeling the warm summer breeze against their skin as the vessel cruises on the sea.

Aside from its outdoor spaces, the main deck is equipped with a large saloon with lounge seating, entertainment system and dining space to host the tribe. It also leads to the large cockpit and swim platform for those who wish to take a dip in the water. Owners with a penchant for exquisite design will be able to choose from the Squadon 50's interior design options which come in four different elegant styles, each inspired by the different coastal regions in the world. Namely St. Tropez, Capri, Amalfi and Hamptons, the design schemes boast different textures and colour palette unique to each region, with themes that pay an ode to the sea with classic nautical motifs to elegant vintage design that characterise America's East Coast.

3. Squadron 68 by Fairline Yachts

Third in the line-up of Fairline Yachts is the Squadron 68, presented first at the Cannes Yachting Festival in 2019. Measuring 21.12m in length and 5.23m in beam with a capacity for 16 people, it is the biggest and most breathtaking vessel of its series that boasts high luxury finishes, designed with huge amounts of onboard space that makes indoor and outdoor living seem like a dream on the seas. Lounging on the expansive flybridge makes for uninterrupted views of the oceanscape from sunrise to sunset, while the main deck features a contemporary design with handcrafted interior finishes such as beautiful high-gloss woods. Guests are able to congregate and unwind comfortably there in front of the large pop up television, bar area or dining space; regardless, the area has an open and bright feel which makes it ideal for hosting and entertaining guests.

Similar to the Squadron 50, the interior decor scheme of the Squadron 68 is customisable in four options—the Capri, Hamptons, St. Tropez and Amalfi—according to the owner's aesthetic preference. But as it is a considerably larger vessel, the lower deck cabin configurations are able to be customised to fit either three or four cabins, the former allowing for an extended space of the VIP room which sits at the helm of the yacht. Hosts will also be able to retreat back to the master bedroom, which takes the full beam of the vessel and comes with a double bed, separate seating area and concealed ensuite.

To take you cruising around Singapore, the Squadron 68 is powered by one of two forms: either the twin Caterpillar engines at 1150hp or twin MAN engines at 1200hp.

4. 52Steel by Sanlorenzo

Designed for ultimate luxury on the seas, the 52Steel is the product of an exhilarating collaboration between Italian shipbuilding company Sanlorenzo and Officina Italiana Design, helmed by renowned designer Mauro Micheli, and exceeds all expectations one would expect of a typical 52 metre vessel. The result is a five-deck superyacht, equipped with endless options for leisure as well as plenty of ways for customisation—both aesthetic and technological—to take place.

One main highlight is the stunning large pool on the aft deck, designed with a glass bottom that allows for natural light to filter into the beach club below. There, guests can access the sea through two folding terraces situated on each side of the yacht, or transform it into a float-in garage with a controlled flooding system for storage of a tender up to eight metres in length. Fitness enthusiasts who prefer to squeeze a workout into their day at sea can also make use of the fully equipped gym, sauna and steam room which together take up the full beam of the vessel. As guests navigate through the common spaces of the superyacht, they would find that each area is filled with an ample amount of natural light. This is due to the expansive use of full-length windows and glass side deck bulwarks, which allows for uninterrupted views of the waves even as guests are indoors.

Equipped with five rooms—a master and four en suite guest cabins—the 52Steel's living quarters allows for a total of 12 guests to spend their vacation at sea. The superyacht is also powered by twin 3512C Caterpillar engines, and travels at a top speed of 17 knots with a cruising speed of 11 knots.

5. SL78 by Sanlorenzo

The SL78 is an entry-level model in Sanlorenzo's popular SL range of fiberglass, planing-hull motor-yachts. The Italian shipbuilder has channelled its decades of experience into the SL78, combining its signature style with new innovations and an unparalleled level of customisation that is impressive within its category. The SL range, which is sporty and fast, is also extremely economical with its fuel consumption at lower speeds, thus enabling it to travel longer distances for those seeking for adventure on the seas. The saloon on board is designed to be an open plan concept, with the large windows allowing for a maximum amount of natural light to fill the space. The flybridge then provides an oasis of calm, with free standing furniture and a well-equipped BOFFI galley to give the feeling of a luxury villa while cruising the high seas.
