Morpheus is the world’s first free-form exoskeleton high-rise architectural sculpture, designed by the late Dame Zaha Hadid. Representing several architectural and technological breakthroughs, its surreal appearance has made it an instant icon in Macau, Asia and the world.

With 12 panoramic lifts, a 35m high atrium-lobby space and two sky bridges (on the 21st and 30th floor), the two towers are connected at the podium levels and at the roof.

Morpheus cost a total of US$1.1 billion to build and created an estimated 1,300 jobs in Macau. From the interior design, food and beverage partners to room amenities and hotel facilities, no expense has been spared in the making of Macau’s most luxurious integrated resort.

"Commitment on this scale takes courage on a level rarely seen in this industry, but we’ve delivered on our promise to further diversify and we've done it on time and on budget," Lawrence said.

There are a total of 772 guest rooms, suites and villas at Morpheus, including three villas with their own private indoor pools, and six duplex villas complete with large living spaces, massage rooms, steam saunas and private gyms.

The interiors were designed by Peter Remedios, who's worked with international hotel groups including Aman Resorts, Shangri-La and Hyatt International. At the press conference, he explained how they “built upon the fluidity of [Zaha Hadid’s] design.”

“Guests coming here are looking for a different experience,” he said. One such difference is the mini bar at Morpheus, or what Peter refers to as the “maxi bar” since it actually goes from floor to ceiling. The geometrically shaped bath tubs were also specially created for Morpheus, making them truly one-of-a-kind.

Partnering with the best in the industry for F&B, Morpheus boasts not one but two Alain Ducasse restaurants (Alain Ducasse at Morpheus and Voyages), a fine dining Chinese restaurant called Yi and the first Pierre Hermé Lounge in Greater China on the podium level.

Guests enjoy special Pierre Hermé x Morpheus chocolates in the room, and if you've ever dreamed of an all-you-can-eat Pierre Hermé pastry spread at the breakfast buffet, your dream's come true at Morpheus.

Featuring artists from all over the world, Morpheus houses an ever-changing collection of artwork from artists including KAWS, Jean-Michel Othoniel and Thilo Heinzmann.

From hot pink polar bears by Paola Pivi to Erwin Wurm’s fat car sculpture to Shinji Ohmaki’s plant-inspired patterns lining the halls, the artwork is fun, modern and eye-catching. What's more, the collection of artwork will change every few months to offer guests a new experience every time they come.

Head to the 40th floor for Morpheus’ sky pool 130 metres above the ground. With the exo-skeleton reflected in the water and plenty of room for wading, its the ultimate photo spot.

There’s also a gym on the fifth floor with state-of-the-art VR technology, next to the Morpheus spa where spa butlers will help you find the perfect treatment. And did we mention the 'Snow Garden' installation?

Not to be overlooked, all of the uniforms at Morpheus were designed by none other than Hong Kong’s Barney Cheng. Calling them “uni-couture” (a mix of ‘unique’ and ‘couture’), they include a disco-ball inspired outfit worn by ambassadors and suits crafted from precious Loro Piana fabrics.

To express their philosophy of winning, Morpheus has enlisted Chinese superstars Donnie Yen and Du Juan for their new brand campaign.

Shot by Nick Knight, one of the world’s most influential photographers (he shot Queen Elizabeth for her 90th birthday), the campaign combines East and West by taking classical paintings such as the ‘Napoleon at the Saint-Bernard Pass’ as inspiration.
