The Tokyo 2020 Summer Paralympics Games will be taking place from August 24 to September 5, and 10 Singapore athletes will be taking part

The exciting and energetic Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games officially closed this weekend on August 8 which means that we are now gearing up for the Tokyo 2020 Summer Paralympics Games which will be taking place from August 24 to September 5.

This year, Singapore will see 10 athletes from Singapore taking part in the games with four of them making their debut, according to the Singapore National Paralympic Council.

If you are excited to catch these athletes in action, keep reading to find out how you can watch it live and for free right from the comfort of your own home.

This year, Mediacorp will be providing viewers with live telecasts of the opening ceremony, the closing ceremony on September 5, daily highlights and coverage of all our Team Singapore events.

You can watch it free on Mediacorp’s MeWatch streaming platform as well as its free-to-air television station, Channel 5. If you are unable to catch the events live, highlights will be made available on Mediacorp's YouTube channel.

On top of this extensive coverage, Reddentes Sports and Singapore Pools will also be producing a series of short films that will showcase the journey of Singaporean Para athletes as they journey to the Paralympics.

You will be able to watch these films on Sport Singapore’s social media platforms, as well as on Mediacorp’s Channel 5 from August 2021.
