It's time to embrace self-reflection

Signs affected the most: Taurus, Libra, Sagittarius, Pisces

A period of building or rebuilding faith in ourselves begins this week as Jupiter heads into a four-month retrograde period. During this time, we may be more reflective about the things that give meaning to our lives and what is truly important. Our own impulses can feel more trustworthy, particularly through the end of October. We are in charge of expanding our own horizons now, and anything external that doesn’t add abundance or optimism can also be cast aside more quickly. As we ease into this period, pay attention not to over-indulge in pleasures.

Watch your language

Signs affected the most: Aries, Gemini, Virgo, Scorpio

Mercury and Mars, planets of communication and of action, move into an uneasy alignment this week. Unfortunate words may come tumbling out of our mouths without warning. Normally quick reflexes can be plagued by hesitation or overthinking. Whatever comes up is an opportunity to work on the delicate balance between thinking and acting, planning and spontaneity. Communicating is likely to be impassioned and fiery at this time. Take everything with a chilled grain of salt.

Take time for yourself

Signs affected the most: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius

The New Moon on Thursday in Leo is a chance to set goals and intentions around what is purely personal. Particularly if we are used to relying on friends and social contexts for living life, it is a good practice every now and then to discover and celebrate what matters only to you. As the saying goes: Dance like no one is watching, sing like no one’s listening, and love as though you have never been hurt. For the next two weeks, time invested in this can bring joy and inspiration.
