The stories will be told by seven Japanese anime studios

In order to really capitalise on the plethora of animation and storytelling styles out there, the new Star Wars anime series will be created by seven different Japanese anime studios who will all be using their own different styles.

These studios would be Kamikaze Douga, Geno Studio (Twin Engine), Studio Colorido (Twin Engine), Trigger, Kinema Citrus, Science Saru and Production IG.

There will be nine episodes

There will be a total of nine episodes that will all be released on the same day on Disney+. The stories in each episode will be unique because Lucasfilm made the explicit decision to allow creators to tell stories that did not exactly fit into the official Star Wars timeline.

This means that we are going to see a real show of imagination and creativity here with this series.

There will be a lot of variety in the stories told

Considering that the creators were given almost free reign and that they will be made by different studios, it is fair to expect that the episodes will see a variety of stories told.

From duels that features Jedi that looks like samurais to a tale of dark side twins, you are sure to see something extremely new and special with the series.
