Korean drama TV actress Song Hye Kyo will return to the small screen after a two-year hiatus in a romance drama guaranteed to tug at your heartstrings
The producers of Korean broadcast channel SBS’ upcoming drama, Now, We Are Breaking Up (or I’m Breaking Up Now), has announced that Song Hye Kyo is confirmed to star in a lead role, alongside Jang Ki Yong. The cast line-up also includes multiple award-winning actors Kim Joo Hun and Choi Hee Seo.

Song Hye Kyo, who was recently made Fendi’s new global ambassador, initially declined the role but ultimately decided to take it on after carefully reviewing the script and much persuasion from the production team. The K-drama will mark the actress’ long-awaited return to television, as she was last seen starring alongside Park Bo Gum in 2018’s Encounter.
Now, We Are Breaking Up is centred on the fashion industry, with stories of love and relationships, and bitterness and breakups–as the title would suggest. Song will play Ha Young Eun, a manager of the design team at a fashion label. She’s intelligent and fashionable but also very much rooted in reality.
Choi Hee Seo will portray Hwang Chi Sook, the director of the fashion label’s design team who attended high school with Ha Young Eun.

Jang Ki Yong will play the male lead Yoon Jae Guk, a wealthy and popular freelance photographer blessed with both looks and brains, while Kim Joo Heon’s character is Seok Do Hoon, the skilled CEO of a PR company.
