Snake Eyes, played by Golding, is a black-clad, silent and skilled fighter with a mysterious past who embarks on a journey of training pre-iconic-helmet days, that will one day turn him into the warrior who roughs up the evil agents of Cobra. The film will also features Tommy aka Storm Shadow (played by Andrew Koji), Snake Eyes’ sworn rival who ends up becoming a Cobra ninja.

In speaking about the risk of 'unmasking' and demystifying the reclusive Snake Eyes too much, Golding said, "Absolutely not.

"I think he, as a character, is so complex, that peeling back the layers, you can only go so far until you hit the Snake Eyes kind of wall. He’s so mysterious in his ways. We catch up with him at the beginning of this movie where he is motivated by things that are so self-destructive that we need to understand them to see why he is so mysterious, and to see why he’s so closed off in ways that we can’t explain. So to be able to kind of balance that was the real goal," he told io9.
