This K-drama has been trending in Hong Kong since its release in early July, with new episodes released weekly.

The rom-com follows Noh Ae-jung (Song Ji-hyo), a single mother of 14-years, who unexpectedly finds herself atracting the attention of four very different suitors. The men not only have vastly different characters, but are from different chapters of Noh Ae-jung's life, with the series unfolding as she finds herself back in the world of dating and love.

So far, only eight episodes of the 16-part series have been released, so there's plenty to catch up on––and look forward to––while at home this month.

This reality series follows matchmaker Sima Taparia as she helps clients in the US and in India to find suitable matches for arranged marriages. The series was released in mid-July on Netflix Hong Kong and has been in the top 10 since, with many praising the series for its unique insight into the traditional custom in the modern era.

Although some have labelled the show cringe-worthy––with others casting shade on the representation of women and how the match matching process differs for the two sexes––it's still most definitely worth a watch to see what all the fuss is about.

The eight drama-filled 40-minutes episodes are ready to stream now, and will easily help make staying home that bit more entertaining.

While season one told the dramatised story of conman John Meehan, the new instalment focuses on the life of socialite Betty Broderick, a seemingly perfect wife and mother from Southern California who hits a homicidal boiling point during a bitter divorce from her unfaithful husband.

The second series of the British reality show comes to Netflix this August and sees a group of professional make-up artists battle it out to be "Britain's Next Make-Up Star".

Following on from the hugely popular first season, series two follows a new set of hopefuls as they show off their talent and creativity to claim the crown. Though we love watching the contestants take on the complex tasks, it's the personalities and drama that made season one such a binge-worthy watch. Here's hoping the same can be said for the upcoming season to see us through lockdown.

A second K-drama to add to your August watch list, Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol revolves around pianist Goo Ra-Ra (Go Ara) as she abruptly becomes bankrupt and hits rock bottom.

The character then meets the mysterious and free-spirited Sun Woo-Joon (Lee Jae-Wook) who plays a hugely influential role in Goo Ra Ra's new life as the series progresses. Find out more when the series is released in late August.

This sci-fi documentary is set to be released to Netflix this August and tells the story of a lonely electronics whiz who broadcasts radio signals into the stars in the hopes of making some new extraterrestrial friends. The true-story focuses on John Shepherd who spent three decades sending music into space, but who ultimately finds a greater connection closer to home.

Having already attracted critical acclaim, John Was Trying to Contact Aliens won the Short Film Jury Award for nonfiction at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, making it an unmissable watch when it drops on Netflix this month.
