These hugely popular Netflix series have released previews of their highly anticipated season 2

Netflix has given us the first look at the highly anticipated new seasons of Emily in Paris and Bridgerton over the weekend. The former centres around American in Paris, Emily (Lily Collins) who is still trying to fit in with the French. In the second season, we will get to see how the Emily-Gabriel romance unfolds—and if he would get back with his ex-girlfriend, Camille. There is also potentially a new love interest for Emily in the form of fellow expat Alfie (played by Lucien Laviscount).

Of course, you can expect to see more fabulous fashion; after all, Sex and the City (SATC)’s Patricia Field is responsible for the parade of clothes in the series—it’s also the reason why she couldn’t work on the upcoming SATC’s series spin-off, And Just Like That. In the first trailer, Emily is seen taking a break from Paris and heading to sunny St. Tropez with BFF Mindy (Ashley Park), promising more breathtaking French scenery.

Season two will premiere on Netflix on December 22, 2021.

Meanwhile, Bridgerton will return in 2022, and even though it has no confirmed launch date yet, it teases a clip from season two featuring a not-so-cordial exchange between Lord Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate Sharma (played by new cast member, Simone Ashley). After a sizzling season one focusing on the romance and eventual marriage between Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and the Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page), the Shonda Rhimes-produced series will turn its attention, as per the order of Julia Quinn’s novels the series is based on, to Anthony’s attempts to find a suitable wife. Bridgerton was the most-watched new series on Netflix after its debut at Christmas last year.
