These are the five Scarlett Johansson movies you have to watch aside from Black Widow

Additional reporting by Brian Cheong

Although you have grown to love her as Black Widow from The Avengers, Scarlett Johansson has taken many roles that showcase the actress' impressive emotional range. Here are some essential viewing if you're a fan of the Oscar nominee.

Black Widow

The year-long-delayed and much-anticipated standalone Black Widow movie is finally premiering on July 9 in cinemas and Disney+ with Premier Access (unfortunately unavailable in Malaysia). It brings the Avenger's story to a close, and takes place after the events in Captain America: Civil War and before Avengers: Infinity War. Her character—spoiler alert!—sacrificed herself in Avengers: Endgame, but this movie will see Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow confronting her dark past and perhaps even give us an insight into how she came to be a highly skilled super spy.

However, Johansson will make you fall in love just as deep as Theodore Twombly (played by the incredible Joaquin Phoenix) does. The film follows the story of Theodore, a writer who falls in love with an Artificial Intelligence system voiced by Johansson.
