If the rumours are true, Park Seo-Joon will be the second Korean actor to star in a Marvel film

The Marvel fanbase is abuzz today with the latest rumours that Park Seo-Joon may be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe later this year.

On June 15, it was reported by industry insiders that the South Korean actor, who is known from such K-dramas as Itaewon Class and Kill Me, Heal Me, will likely be starring in The Marvels, the highly-anticipated sequel to Captain Marvel

According to media reports, Park will head to the US to begin filming in the latter part of this year after he wraps up filming for Concrete Utopia, a South Korean disaster-thriller.

However, when asked about these reports, Park’s agency, Awesome ENT, responded by simply saying: “No comment.”

So far, Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, and Iman Vellani have been confirmed to star in The Marvels which will be directed by Nia DaCosta.

Should the news be true—and we certainly hope it is—Park will be the second Korean actor to star in a Marvel movie, with the first being Train To Busan star Ma Dong Seok, who portrays Gilgamesh in the highly-anticipated Chloe Zhao-directed Marvel film, Eternals.

The Marvels is set to be released on November 11, 2022
