Five Feet Apart

Starring Cole Sprouse and Haley Lu Richardson, Five Feet Apart is the touching tale of two teens suffering from cystic fibrosis who fall in love in a hospital. Given the constraints of their lung condition, the face mask-clad pair embark on a precarious relationship which requires them to remain at least five feet apart from each other at all times. The film was released in 2019; and yet there's still a lot about it that's cathartic to watch in 2021.

In this 2016 film, socially awkward Carrie Pilby is an introverted genius who reads 17 books in a week and doesn't care to leave her apartment, until she comes up with a checklist of ways to step out of her shell at the behest of her therapist; a checklist that includes going on a date and getting a job. If we could, we'd go back in time and enlighten Carrie that being a couch potato is officially encouraged in the post-2020 world.
