These high-end cinemas are dedicated to bringing some next-level luxe to your movie nights

Just because we love curling up on the couch to binge on Netflix, doesn’t mean we don’t seek some out-of-the-ordinary movie experiences.

While Hong Kong has no shortage of cinemas covering the latest Hollywood blockbusters, film festival screenings and local classics, it can be difficult to find a place that offers you luxury, comfort and a premium visual experience all at once.

We've selected some of Hong Kong's most high-end, luxurious cinemas for you to catch your next flick in style:

The Oval Office, AMC Pacific Place

Best for: The comfiest cinema seats

Stylishly decked in modern decor, The Oval Office at AMC Pacific Place has a total of 18 seats, premium projection technology and Dolby 7.1 surround sound to create an immersive cinematic experience.

This intimate cinema features plush French reclining leather seats, built with user-friendly service buttons so you can order food and drinks if you feel peckish throughout the movie.

What’s more, there’s a private lounge and bar for guests to enjoy a fine selection of wines and cocktails—as well as complimentary popcorn and other small bites—before the movie. If you’re in the mood to splurge, order from their special made-to-order menu designed in collaboration with French restaurant Plat du Jour, which will be delivered to your seat before the movie begins.

Oh, and did we mention that the third VIP suite has its own exclusive entrance, restroom and a private dining room for guests to sample dishes prepared by their in-house chefs?

The rental price for the suite is about HK$20,000, including HK$3,000 for theatre rental and a minimum charge of HK$17,000 for food and beverage, which comes with the option of enjoying a tailor-made menu.
