The musical will be streamed live from Seoul and will feature an array of famous Korean stars

K-pop fans, get excited because Midnight Sun: The Musical is coming to a theatre near you. For three days only, on May 7, 9 and June 12, catch some of the biggest names in K-pop on the big screen at Golden Village, which has secured the exclusive rights to livestream the show.

The highly-anticipated musical will feature Shinee's Onew, Got7's Young Jae, Day 6's Wonpil, Nu'est's Baekho, and Lovelyz's Kei along with other famous Korean stars.

Midnight Sun, which was originally a 90s Hong Kong classic that was adapted into a Japanese novel, film, and drama, will tell the story of Haram, a boy, who meets a girl, Haena, who cannot be exposed to sunlight. Midnight Sun was also recently given a Hollywood adaptation in 2018. Now, the famous love story has returned as a musical.

The roles of Haram and Haena will be played by different K-pop stars at each session. Haram will be played by:

  • Onew - May 7, 6.30 pm
  • Young Jae - May 9, 1 pm and June 12, 5.30 pm
  • Wonpil - May 9, 5.30 pm
  • Baekho - June 12, 1 pm

Haena on the other hand will be played by:

  • Kei from Lovelyz - May 7, 6.30 pm, May 9, 1 pm and June 12, 1 pm
  • Lee A Jin - May 9, 5.30 pm
  • Kang Hye In - June 12, 5.30pm

Fans can catch this star-studded musical live at GV Funan on the following dates:

  • May 7 - 6.30 pm
  • May 9 - 1 pm and 5.30pm
  • June 12 - 1 pm and 5.30pm

The Korean musical will be screened live, directly from the Kwanglim Arts Center in Seoul, and will have English subtitles.
