Looking for new things to watch on Netflix? We're letting you know the latest TV shows and movies coming to the platform this June including 'Lupin Part 2', 'Sweet & Sour' and 'Trese'

Netflix has offered plenty of genres for us to enjoy over the year, from book-to-movie adaptations, true crime documentaries, comedies to Korean dramas. That's why we can't help but be excited every start of the month for the new offerings the streaming platform has to offer.

New titles on the line-up for June include the first Filipino anime series TreseKorean movie Sweet & Sour and Father's Day movie, Fatherhood. Keep reading our round-up for all you need to know about these upcoming titles.

1. Sweet Tooth

The new fantasy and sci-fi offering from Netflix this month is Sweet Tooth set years after "The Great Crumble" that led to the mysterious emergence of hybrids—babies born part human, part animal. We follow a hybrid deer-boy who forms an unlikely bond with a wandering loner. The two embark on an extraordinary adventure through the lush, dangerous world left behind, searching for the meaning of home.

The series is inspired by the DC Vertigo Sweet Tooth comic books by Jeff Lemire which was originally planned for a movie adaptation. Marvel star, Robert Downey Jr. serves as executive producer for this eight-episode series.

Release date: June 4

2. Lupin: Part 2

The highly anticipated return of French heist drama, Lupin is coming this month. Gentleman burglar, Assane Diop is pursued by Hubert and his henchmen. Assane scrambles to find his son Raoul who's been kidnapped and finds himself with an unlikely new ally. He draws up a grand plan to reveal Hubert's crime.

Lupin is Netflix's most-watched French series and with its return, we can expect more disguise and more excitement.

Release date: June 11

3. Sweet & Sour

K-drama fans are in for a treat this month with Korean movie, Sweet & Sour. Before Jang Ki-yong graces our screens with Song Hye-kyo in Now We Are Breaking Up, he'll first tug our hearts as Jang Hyuk. Jang wants the best for his love and work but soon finds himself affected by the two women in his life, his girlfriend Da-eun, a hardworking nurse who's becoming frustrated with her job and his colleague Bo-yeong, whom Jang is initially forced to collaborate with and compete against.

This romance movie will surely leave us rooting for either Da-eun or Bo-yeong.

4. Trese

Trese is Netflix's first Filipino animation series based on a Filipino comic series of the same name. The story takes place in Manila where mythical creatures from Philippine folklore hide amongst humans. Dark supernatural forces try to control the criminal underworld and it's up to Alexandra Trese to keep the peace but there's a storm coming.

The anime series boasts a stellar cast of Filipino actors led by Liza Soberano who will be dubbing it in Filipino while there's also a cast for the English dubbing including Filipino-Candian actors, Shay Mitchell and Manny Jacinto.

5. Rurouni Kenshin: The Final

The highly popular Rurouni Kenshin movie series based on the Rurouni Kenshin manga is back with Rurouni Kenshin: The Final. Despite its title, the movie isn't the last instalment in the series. Instead, it will follow Kenshin as he comes face to face with his past once again when Yukishiro Enishi, the brother of his first late wife, Tomoe, appears in Tokyo to punish Kenshin for the death of his sister.

Expect a high-stakes battle and a lot of sword-fighting.

Release date: June 18

6. The World is Tricky

Indian movie The World is Tricky tells the story of a clever, carefree gangster who is recruited to help an overseas crime lord take down a rival. But he's caught off guard by the moral dilemmas that follow.

The movie stars Indian actor Dhanush with Scottish actor James Cosmo making his Indian film debut.

7. Fatherhood

June is the month for fathers and what better to watch than Fatherhood. This heartwarming, funny and emotional true story follows Kevin Hart who's struggling to raise his daughter after the unexpected death of his wife.

Hart also serves as a producer for the movie which is based on the 2011 memoir, Two Kisses for Maddy: A Memoir of Loss and Love by Matthew Logelin.

Release date: June 18

8. Nevertheless

Nevertheless is Netflix's upcoming Korean drama series this June, adding onto their stellar line-up of Korean titles. The romantic drama follows Park Jae-uhn, a happy-go-lucky student that never allows himself to develop deep feelings for others. Meanwhile, fellow student Yoo Na-bi had a bitter experience with her first love so she doesn't believe in romance anymore.

But their paths cross and the two instantly hit it off. As their relationship progresses, they start opening up and changing their view of love. As with any Korean drama, we can expect fluff, tears and heartwarming moments.

Release date: June 20
