It's finally official. Blackpink's Lisa will drop her first solo single this summer. Here's everything we know so far about the hotly-anticipated release.

Blinks, are you ready? Blackpink's Lisa is officially set to make her highly-anticipated solo debut this summer.

Fans of the K-pop girl group's rapper have been hoping for a solo single from the star for some time, and now, it seems that their requests have been answered.

YG Entertainment, the group’s label, had announced late last year that Lisa, whose real name is Lalisa Manoban, was already working on solo material. However, it stopped short of confirming an official release date and did not provide any more details.

Since then, fans have only heard rumours of an upcoming solo album by Lisa but no other information. But now, the label confirmed to Newsis that the rapper will have "her solo debut this summer."

Lisa’s solo debut will make her the third member of Blackpink to release her own material. Jennie made her solo debut back in 2018 with a single Solo, while Rosé released her two-track EP -R- in March. Jennie and Rosé were recently spotted in Los Angeles and posted photos of them in a studio.

YG reportedly confirmed that the trip was to work on music as the two have also shared pictures with Dua Lipa and Tommy Brown, Arianna Grande's producer. Meanwhile, Jisoo is gearing up for her acting debut in Snowdrop.

Both Jennie and Rosé's songs broke records when they dropped onto streaming services so Lisa’s solo release is one to watch—and expectations from her fans are clearly high. While Blinks wait for the solo projects, the group is releasing 4+1, a five-part project to celebrate their 5th anniversary in August.
