Han So-Hee's Style Evolution In Her Korean Dramas
Han So-hee is currently stealing hearts in Nevertheless but you should also be paying attention to the actress' fashion evolution through her other K-dramas
Thanks to her role in the Korean drama The World of the Married, all eyes are Han So-hee as she stars in Netflix's latest romance drama, Nevertheless. In addition to her acting skills, Han's beauty has always been the talk of the town. Her explosive visuals have turned many heads and thanks to the diverse characters she has portrayed, she's able to showcase her beauty and skills.
Her characters throughout the years also have a variety of fashion styles, ranging from posh looks to vibrant traditional hanboks and comfy sweaters. Let's take a look at some of the outfits her characters have pulled off and how they're so different from each other.
Han So-hee's debut role as Lee Seo-won in Reunited Worlds probably has the trendiest look. As a journalist for a fashion magazine, it's a given that she's always on the top of the latest trends and is wearing the new season's latest items, even before they're introduced publically.
Her character, Lee is also the daughter of the director of a hospital so it's not a surprise that she has the fortune to afford all the luxury pieces. You can see her trying different outfits and jewellery in the drama.
100 Days My Prince
In 100 Days My Prince, Han plays crown princess Kim So-hye, known to the people as a woman of matchless beauty. Her father is the vice-premier and the most powerful man in the nation. Given her status, Kim So-hye is always dressed in the most luxurious and intricately designed hanboks. She also wears ornate and elegant hair ornaments and accessories.
So far, 100 Days My Prince is Han's first and only saeguk (historical) drama but we do want to see her wearing more traditional hanboks in the future because she's simply stunning.
Jang Hui-jin, Han's character in Abyss is someone who receives a lot of love from her fiancee, Cha Min. Jang has an innocent appearance so she's often wearing white. Some of her favourite outfits include off-the-shoulder tops and dresses.
But we also see how her clothing changes depending on how she feels or what she's going through. When she faces dangerous circumstances in the series, she switched her elegant outfits to more comfortable clothes such as jeans and cardigans. Her character's style here might not stand out among her other roles, but it's certainly one of the most relatable.
The World of the Married
Han's role in The World of the Married—the highest-rated Korean drama in cable TV—is one that shot her to fame and made the world pay attention to her. As Yeo Da-gyeong, the only child of wealthy parents, her character gets what she wants.
She wears luxury brands and expensive brands, opting for classic looks that make her look more mature given her character's role as a mistress turned wife. She ditches trendier styles and goes for more monochrome colours instead of bright and colourful outfits. She also doesn't forget to wear dainty gold jewellery.
Befitting a typical student, much of her clothes are casual and comfortable. She's often wearing cardigans and hoodies. You can also see her wearing an apron or an overall to protect her clothes from paint and clay as an art student. Her choice of denim and sneakers are also all about comfort. We don't even see her wear a lot of make-up in this drama, going instead of the simple and casual everyday look.
