The prestigious Cannes Film Festival is returning from July 6–17 after last year's hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic

Like most film festivals that have been hampered by the pandemic last year, the prestigious Cannes Film Festival also had to cancel its run.

But it's set to return this year for its 74th edition from July 6–17 and Cannes has announced its studded lineup of past Palme d'Or winners, French titles and arthouse fan favourites for the competition. Festival director Thierry Frémaux announced that 63 films from around the world are premiering this year and remarked that "cinema is not dead".

A total of 24 titles are in the Official Competition (competing for the Palme d'Or), 18 in Un Certain Regard and other promising titles in other categories. Here's the full list of the lineup:
