How will nightlife impressario Noah Tepperberg, the man behind Singapore's largest nightclub, keep revellers interested?
Thanks to the opening of Marquee, our social feeds were chock full of posts from revellers snapping selfies and wefies in the three-storey, 2,300sqm mega-club in the last two weeks. (There were also a deluge of pictures and videos from Jewel Changi Airport, the Singapore Yacht Show and the Tatler Fashion Awards, but that’s another story).
At Marquee, entertainment came in the form of big-name DJs Tiesto and Afrojack, plus rapper A$AP Rocky. But the other big attractions were the eight-armed ferris wheel/photo booth named The Big Q, as well a three-storey spiral slide, Sunny Slide Up.
Situated at the back of the club facing the DJ booth and massive dance floor, The Big Q is an imposing 40m wide and 30m high. It allows partygoers to survey the entire space as they make a complete revolution. That’s if the partygoers even bother to look out the gondola, because each one is equipped with a touch-pad camera, and doubles up as a photo booth. Instagrammable moments are sent to your email, which of course can then be uploaded to your socials to incite #fomo among your followers.
