1. Four Sisters and A Wedding

Four Sisters and A Wedding has all the elements of a Filipino family-themed drama: comedy, a heart-wrenching screenplay, and interesting characters whose stories their audiences can relate to. In the movie, four sisters reunite to dissuade their younger brother from marrying his fiancee. As they interact, they face unresolved problems they have kept from each other for a long time.

2. Tanging Yaman

Tanging Yaman follows the story of three long-estranged siblings who revisit their family home to deal with a property dispute after their father's death. Because they have not spoken in years, the siblings rekindle old arguments and resentments. Their mother, Loleng, suffers from Alzheimer's disease yet she tries to bring her family together. 

3. Seven Sundays

In Seven Sundays, estranged siblings gather to fulfil the wishes of their ailing father. When they spend time together, they settle old issues.

4. Anak (2000)

How do you mend a broken relationship between a parent and a child? Rory Quintos' Anak (2000) follows the story of a mother who returns to the Philippines after working abroad. When she gets back into the household, she discovers that her family has already fallen apart. 

5. Ang Tanging Ina N'yong Lahat

If your family's goal is to laugh out loud then play Ang Tanging Ina N'yong Lahat. In the movie, Ina and her best friend Rowena find jobs as maids inside the Malacanan Palace; after exposing the truth about the President's assassination, Ina is elected as the new president of the country.
