3. Mula sa Buwan

The well-received and beloved pioneer piece of Barefoot Theatre Collab (formerly Black Box Productions) is coming back this 2022. Written and directed by Pat Valera, with music by William Elvin Manzano, Mula sa Buwan is a story of love and defiance through the eyes of the youth caught in the centre of the Japanese Occupation in the 1940s. The musical is based on Soc Rodrigo's Filipino translation of the classic French five-act play Cyrano de Bergerac by Edmond Rostand.

Tackling themes like the essence of theatre, the power of storytelling, the importance of the voice of the youth, friendship, and unrequited love, Mula sa Buwan since its first staging in 2010 at the Ateneo de Manila University has become one of the most frequented Filipino musicals.

As of writing, Mula sa Buwan, is still in the open auditions and call for show buyers process. Check this page for more information
