1. Pride & Prejudice @ TAKSU KL

NOW UNTIL OCTOBER 17

Inspired by the Jane Austen classic novel, artist Najib Ahmad Bamadhaj explores the characters' facial expressions and body language in this exhibition. He brings to life their nuances with a touch of modern sensibility and Asian flair. Whether you're a fan of Pride & Prejudice or not, the elegance and beauty of the artwork will still draw you in.

2. Hummer 2020 Exhibition @ Putticoop, The Zhongshan Building

3. Tagistan @ The Zhongshan Building

OCTOBER 1 - 31

The first art exhibition to be held in the new wing of the Zhongshan Building, Tagistan features the latest body of work by multi-disciplinary artist Dhavinder Singh. Drawing from his childhood experience growing up in Jalan Chan Sow Lin, Kuala Lumpur, the exhibition consists of installations, stop-motion videos as well as drawings depicting the transformation of one of the oldest industrial areas in the city.

4. Right Here! Right Now! Art Gallery Weekend 2020

Five galleries across the Klang Vallley are coming together for a novel weekend-long showcase of contemporary art. With artworks conceived during the MCO, Right Here! Right Now! is a burst of energy in a time of stillness. In the playful spirit of a scavenger hunt, it is an affair you certainly wouldn't want to miss.

Featured are the following artists and galleries: CC Kua at The Back Room KL; Syahbandi Samat at Artemis Art; Joshua Kane Gomes at Richard Koh Fine Art; Jane Stephanny at Suma Orientalis, and Haafiz Shahimi at Core Design Gallery.

5. Creature Trilogy @ Damansara Performing Arts Centre

Creature Trilogy is a triple bill by Malaysian dancers Raziman Sarbini, Suhaili Micheline, and Pexstret Liu Yong Sean who showcase their individual style and experiences to create an amalgamation of mesmerising performances.

6. The 13th International Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival

OCTOBER 19 - 25

"The call for climate action never stops, even amidst a global pandemic," said Fadly Bakhtiar, the festival director of the International Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival 2020. Promoting sustainable living through showcases of environmentally-themed films and programmes, the Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Fest (KLEFF) is the first and longest-running platform of its kind in Malaysia.

The festival may have gone virtual this year but it still boasts a robust line-up of films that bring to light the need to act now to save the environment for the next generation.
