Poly Auction Hong Kong is joining hands with digital art platform, The Authority to showcase an exclusive collection of NFT works by leading artists
It’s no secret that blockchain technology and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are taking the international art world by storm, redefining how artists and collectors appreciate, buys and make profits from art over the years.
As NFTs continue to rise in popularity across the globe, a slew of top-tier event organisers and auction houses have ventured into such groundbreaking realm of digital art and NFTs—including Poly Auction Hong Kong, which has recently collaborated with The Authority, a leading digital art platform to present a series of exhibitions and an online auction on NFT artworks.
The partnership between Poly Auction and The Authority will see an exclusive collection of works by the most influential artists in the NFT world, with the main focus on Andreas Ivan—the remarkable digital Russian-Mauritian artist, alongside 11 other internationally renowned talents. The exhibitions will be hosted through two shows on Poly Auction’s mobile app and WeChat mini programme.

The first show, which takes place between October 7-15 at Poly Gallery Hong Kong, will feature Andreas Ivan’s Smoochies: MÆTHERIAL Collection. Exclusively curated for the event, the collection is meant to replicate the kisses Ivan’s mother imparted in times of difficulty, reflecting the same love, comfort and support that the artist received from his mother when he was young.
Consisting of 16 ‘Smoochies’, each creation will be a unique 1 of 1 edition NFT available for auctions and accompanied by 8 limited-limited prints available for purchase at the exhibition. According to Ivan, only 100 ‘Smoochies’ will be created in the course of his creative career, which makes Poly Auction Hong Kong and The Authority’s upcoming auction a rare opportunity to collect the artist’s NFT works. Bidding for the NFT ‘Smoochies’ will take place between 8th to 12th November on the Poly Auction mobile app and the WeChat mini program.
For the second part of the show, NFT creations of the 11 collaborating artists will be showcased at Pacific Place from October 22 to November 9. Titled ‘Are you BORED or NOT’, the exhibition features brand new creations from a stellar artist lineup including Jonathan Jay Lee, an award-winning illustrator; Jasper Wong, a HYPEBEAST Top 100 Influential Artist; Kongkee, a legendary Hong Kong comic book artist and animator; as well as Andrés Rivera, a rising New York NFT artist.
