Based on George RR Martin's novel entitled "Fire & Blood", the new "House of Dragon" series will follow the Targaryen clan 300 years before the events of "Game of Thrones"
The Game of Thrones season finale made headlines in 2019. After eight seasons, we'd finally bid farewell to the exciting world of Westeros (despite pleas from fans to continue the show).
If you're one of the many fans of the HBO series, then we might just have the best news for you. The prequel to Game of Thrones, House of Dragons, is currently in the works! It will revolve around the family story of the Targaryen clan and is supposedly set 300 years before the events Game of Thrones.
The official Twitter account of House of Dragons recently tweeted a picture of a table read for the series. In it, fans were able to spot Paddy Considine, Steve Toussaint and Olivia Cooke. The official Twitter account also announced that the show is set to premiere on HBO Max in 2022.

Reports have said that Matt Smith will play Prince Daemon and Emma D'Arcy will play Princess Rhaenyra. Paddy Considine will bring the role of King Viserys to life while Rhys Ifans will take on the role of Otto Hightower. Olivia Cooke will play Alicent.
The cast and crew were all spotted at a medieval-style set at St Michael's Mount near Penzance.
It's also interesting to know that House of Dragons is also currently being adapted into a West End production.
