The highly anticipated Netflix original will adapt "Trese" onto our computer screens—and with a star-studded cast to boot!

The popular Philippine graphic novel, Trese, created by Budjette Tan and KaJO Baldisimo, is set for an exciting Netflix release next month! Fans may be familiar with the adventures of Alexandra Trese, who finds herself in the throes of a supernatural criminal underworld. Set in Manila, the plot and storylines are heavily influenced by Philippine folklore.

Trese is set to premiere on the mega-streaming site on 11 June 2021. There will be an English and a Filipino version for fans both locally and internationally to enjoy. The English version will feature a star-studded lineup of Filipino celebrities such as Manny Jacinto who will voice Maliksi, Nicole Scherzinger who will voice Miranda Trese, and Shay Mitchell who will voice Alexandra Trese. Darren Criss, Jon Jon Briones, and Dante Basco have also been announced as voice actors for the show.

In the Filipino version, Liza Soberano is set to headline as Alexandra Trese. Simon dela Cruz will play Crispin and Basilio, Christopher Carlo Caling as Hank, and Eugene Adalia as Anton Trese. Voice artist director, Rudolf Baldonado will be directing all local voice talents. 

To add to the exciting lineup of representation, Filipino band Up Dharma Down have also composed the show's official soundtrack entitled "PAAGI", with lyrics by Armi Millare and Paul Yap.
