Unlike most stars in Hollywood, the cast negotiated to all receive the same salary. Typically actors and actresses fight to out-earn one another. But these group of Friends did the opposite. By the last season, they were each earning one million dollars per episode!
2. The Rachel

The famous Rachel hairdo was actually only featured in one season. Jennifer Aniston herself actually did not enjoy the hairstyle as she found it quite hard to maintain without the help of a professional stylist. 3. Substance Abuse

Mathew Perry was dependent on drugs and alcohol during the filming of several seasons of Friends. In fact, he later admitted to not being able to remember filming around three seasons of the hit show.

David Schwimmer did not have to audition for the role of Ross! He previously auditioned for another role for the show's creators. They then thought of Schwimmer as they were creating the character of Ross.
8. Ahead Of Its Time

Friends took on some heavy subjects for its time. First, the show normalised same-sex couples when Carol left Ross for her lover, Susan. Second, they then highlighted the reality of a modern family, where three adults (Carol, Ross and Susan) co-parent a child (Ben).
