Running until September 30 is Fred Tan's fourth solo exhibition with Galerie Francesca at SM Megamall entitled, "Silver Mountain, Sparkling Waters". Drawing inspiration from the traditions of Chinese landscape painting, Tan features his works of gestural abstraction using wet paint and textured canvas. The exhibition focuses "on life-sustaining and overflowing abundance aspects of nature", letting the viewer experience an imaginary mountain and find the "lasting harmony between man and fellow man, as well as with his surroundings".

Tan has had solo exhibitions at the Ayala Museum, Yuchengco Museum, and local galleries. He has also participated in group shows at Art in the Park, Rockwell Powerplant North Court, and in galleries in Singapore, Taiwan, and Malaysia.

Available on view until October 9 are three solo exhibitions at Art Cube Gallery.

Isko Andrade's "SoLace" exhibition explores the feeling of exhaustion he felt over the past year since the pandemic hit and hopes that people would find a sense of comfort, calmness, and relaxation with his latest works. In comparison to his previous works that are usually dark, he plays with lights in this particular exhibition, making use of the blue colour as a representation of the sunrise while red for the sunset. Andrade received several awards and citations in the past, including accolades at the Shell National Student Art Competition and Metrobank Art Design Excellence (MADE) Competition.

Ciane Xavier's "Connecting and Disco" is about humanism and transhumanism, showing the blending of machines with the biology of humans. In this exhibition, the artist talks about "the importance of human life with the nature of caring deeply about things that directly impact one's self". Xavier is an expressive artist who discovered her passion for the arts since she moved to the Philippines from Brazil. As a former fashion model, she has lived in more than 14 countries in her teenage years. Now, she tries to bridge her two different worlds through the arts.

Lastly, Jep Dizon relates his works in "An Imaginary View From A Synthetic Window" exhibition with the modern trends such as technology and social media platforms. "For him, the concept of these platforms became the illusion of our reality where we often forget to see the beauty of the natural environment and the importance of present moments," the exhibition notes say. Dizon is a Fine Arts graduate and has gained recognition from Shell National Art Competition and MADE for his remarkable works. He has been part of numerous group exhibits since 2015 and had his first solo show in 2019.
